Building Engineering Excellence Beyond the Classroom: Stark Energy Presents the 4th Consecutive Award to the Best Graduating Engineering Student at RMU

At Stark Energy Limited, we believe that investing in young engineering talent is an investment in the future of our industry. Stark Energy remains committed to strengthening the bridge between academic excellence and practical engineering application by investing in the next generation of technical professionals.

A Single Line Diagram (SLD), also known as a one-line diagram is a simplified, high-level graphical representation of an electrical power system. It uses standardized symbols and a single line to illustrate how electricity flows from sources to loads, thereby making it easier to understand and analyze complex electrical systems.

On 27th June 2026, during the 20th Congregation Ceremony of the Regional Maritime University (RMU), we were honoured to once again recognize academic excellence by presenting the Stark Energy Award to the Best Graduating Mechanical Engineering Student, in recognition of outstanding academic performance.

This year’s presentation marks a significant milestone, it is the fourth consecutive year of this initiative, which began in 2023, reaffirming our long-term commitment to developing the next generation of engineering professionals.

The award comprises a brand-new laptop and a three-month internship opportunity with Stark Energy Limited, providing the recipient with practical industry exposure across engineering operations within the sector. Beyond recognizing academic achievement, the internship is designed to bridge the gap between the classroom and the workplace, equipping young engineers with valuable hands-on experience and professional mentorship.

As a company operating across engineering services, inspection, maintenance, procurement, and technical consultancy, Stark Energy understands that the future of our industry depends on capable, innovative, and well-prepared professionals. Through initiatives such as this, we hope to inspire students to pursue excellence while contributing meaningfully to Ghana’s Engineering, Energy and Oil and Gas sectors.

We extend our sincere congratulations to this year’s award recipient, Mr. Aggey Valentine, and to all graduates of the Regional Maritime University Class of 2026. We also express our appreciation to the University’s leadership, faculty, and staff for their continued dedication to developing world class maritime and engineering talent.

This is more than an annual award, it is a long-term investment in people, innovation, and the sustainable growth of our industry.

Here’s to many more years of empowering future engineers.
